A talented group of artists from around the island have teamed up to bring more colours and life to Cap Tamarin's Smart & Happy Village. They have been showcasing their creativity through Street Art pieces, all centered around the theme of #FeelCapTamarin. The Rezidan project by Moka Smart City is a dynamic urban art initiative in Moka, Mauritius, designed to foster art and culture in the region. Launched in 2022, this project encourages local artists to create captivating murals and street art, infusing the Smart City with energy and creativity. By offering a platform for artists to showcase their talents, the Rezidan project has successfully highlighted the diverse skills and unique styles of local talents such as Laurie Castel, Evan Sohun, Emilien Jubeau, Prem Arts, Lucid Design, Brian Lamoureux, and Daphné Doomun. This street art initiative aligns with Sofap's commitment to supporting and promoting art in the community.
A wall that embraces the ephemeral. A celebration of the imagination. This initiative by Victoria Urban Terminal and Sofap aims to promote Street Art. The concept, proposed by The Third Dot, offers a platform for local artists to showcase their work on a rotating basis every three months. The project aims to make art accessible to a wider audience, while also beautifying the city. Each artist will have the opportunity to unveil their murals over time. Since the beginning of the year, two artists, Emilien Jubeau and Melissa Madanamootoo, have already left their mark on the wall. So, are you inspired?
