Poverty, pollution, global warming and the depletion of our resources are some of the global challenges we face. Sofap takes its role as a responsible corporate citizen at heart and is committed to sustainable development, with the goal of becoming a zero waste company. We are working hard to rethink our industrial waste management and production medhods so as to contribute positively to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Sofap has established itself as one of the leading paint manufacturers in Mauritius whose primary concerns are quality and innovation. The company manufactures and markets Permoglaze paints, has created Tribe textured coatings and distributes Permofix adhesives. Sofap is also the exclusive representative of well-known brands: General Paints, Genrock, Altex Coatings, Atlas, Rust-Oleum, Nova… Its strategic showrooms reflect the know-how of the company and its teams.
Sofap is certified ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management), which clearly demonstrate that the company is committed to the environment and the quality of its products.

Quality Control
We are constantly striving to improve the performance and quality of our locally manufactured Permoglaze, Tribe and Permofix products. Quality control is carried out at every stage of the manufacturing process. The raw materials used are individually tested and require a green light from the department before use. Subsequently, tests are carried out on the various stages of production to ensure that the quality standards are met. This careful control enables us to offer our customers high quality standard products.
Compliance with legislation
Our products are thoroughly formulated and tested to meet the standards set by regulatory bodies such as the Mauritius Standard Bureau, the Dangerous Chemical Control Board and European directives.
Environment
Sofap is committed to continuously reviewing and reorganising its formulations and manufacturing processes to ensure they are environment-friendly. All our products are APEOS and lead free, and the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in our formulations are lower than the limits set by European directives.
