Under Guillaume Jauffret‘s leadership, Sofap is committed to placing both human and environmental dimensions at the heart of its decision-making.
The company continues to drive actions and products that align with its core values. The objective of becoming zero waste by 2023 was initiated in 2019, achieving a 94.7% reduction in solid waste to landfill through the 10 Rs of Sustainability and the collaboration of 268 organizations, 12 recyclers, and 60 artisans. Liquid waste was reduced by 66.7% through various initiatives at the production level.
Sofap has a well-established Integrated Management System (Quality and Environment Management System), which provides a clear structure for managing compliance with relevant regulations and standards across different areas.
In August 2020, Sofap launched the Eco Hub, a space focused on showcasing upcycled and eco-friendly products, hosting workshops, and facilitating presentations by environmental and social actors. With a strong R&D team, Sofap has made significant strides toward producing low-VOC paints. A selection of its paint products received the Eco Earth label, meeting the requirements of the MS 189 standard.
Lastly, ten of its paint products are EPD-certified, ensuring a thorough life cycle assessment—from raw materials to manufacturing—while maintaining transparency and allowing third-party verification of environmental performance.
Sofap’s journey in sustainability is ongoing, and we remain dedicated to meaningful progress, stay tuned—there’s more to come as we continue sharing our journey and sustainable actions on this page!
